TIGERS FIRED BY NEW BOYS

CASTLEFORD will hand debuts to four new signings in today’s friendly against Featherstone at the Jungle (1pm) as they start their bid to go one better than 2017.

Joe Wardle, James Green, Mitch Clark and Cory Aston are all in line to feature as the Tigers aim to erase the disappointment of this year’s Grand Final defeat to Leeds.

Wardle said: “I’ve heard lots about the local rivalry and I’m sure Featherstone will put up a real challenge for us. Everyone is itching to get back on the pitch.”

Jamie Ellis and James Clare are also set to make their second bows for the club after rejoining from Huddersfield and Leigh respectively.
