£9M man backed to come good at former club

- BY NICK LUCY

SCOTT HOGAN has been backed to start repaying his £9million transfer fee as he goes in search of a muchneeded boost at former club Brentford.

JACK RODWELL has been “punted” by Sunderland boss Chris Coleman – and ordered to find his appetite for football.

The £10million man is yet to train with Coleman and is with a fitness trainer.

Rodwell is Sunderland’s most costly player, earning around £70k a week at the Championship relegationzone club.

They would like to find him a new club, but cannot afford to pay him off.

Rodwell has frustrated six managers since moving from Man City in August 2014.

Coleman said: “We can’t afford any stragglers,”
