STEVE COTTERILL says he is building Birmingham long term after receiving the backing of the board.

The Blues boss was given “100 per cent” support before drawing with Sunderland on Saturday.

He said: “I understand people don’t always want to hear about what’s gone on and they want to know about the here and now.

“But I can assure all our fans I am working as hard as I possibly can to get points for the team. I am passionate about the club.

“We haven’t had a good start. We know, but you have to work yourselves into credit and everything is building here.”
