Festive fun just electric

SOME of my happiest memories are from playing and scoring over the festive period — the games come thick and fast and, as a striker, it’s a chance to fill your boots with goals.

There are some great laughs at players’ Christmas parties as well and the famous one for me was my first at Liverpool.

I had to get on a chair and belt out a number for the rest of the lads, and some of the youth team players picked up a keg of beer and threw it over my head.

They hadn’t considered the fact it would electrocute me if it got into the microphone and I got the shock of my life.
