Warnock card for loyal fan’s anniversary
THE wife of a die-hard Cardiff City fan got boss Neil Warnock to send him a card for their 11th wedding anniversary, as it clashes with Friday’s game against Preston North End.
Sally Letman, 43, wrote to the Bluebirds chief as husband Mark, 44, planned to spend their big day at Cardiff City Stadium.
She told Warnock: “Saturdays are one thing, even Boxing Day at a push, but my anniversary is taking the mick! Perhaps to ease the pain you could sign the enclosed card for Mark and return it to me.”
Warnock wrote in the card: “Get your priorities right Mark … We’ll see you in the new year.”
But Mark is still going to the game. He said: “I fell about laughing. Neil Warnock’s just a great guy.”
