Home in on the best mince pies

We ran a little poll before the holidays – just for fun. The results are now in. Great Get Together supporters were asked who made the best mince pies. Almost 13% said Aldi. M&S came second with 11.3%. Waitrose was third with 7.4%. But way out in front were those who said either “mine” or “my granny’s” or “Mum’s”. It was great to see that most people agree that homemade is best. I wish I had the time – or the skill – to do amazing things in the kitchen. Maybe 2018 will be my year for that, but don’t hold your breath. There is too much else for me to focus my energy on for now ....
