ITV, 7pm The threat hanging over the Dingle family grows more serious and they begin to panic that they will be turfed out of their home.

The Dingles are an Emmerdale institution, what would we do? Now they prepare for the inquiry, which begins in the village hall – but Jimmy is nervous about being involved. Will the truth come to light?

ITV, 7.30pm A jam-packed episode on the cobbles as Carla faces her fears and persuades Roy to join the Connor family for New Year’s Eve.

At the bistro she gets a hero’s welcome, leaving Jenny envious. But later as everyone toasts the future, Carla slips out in tears. Roy comforts her and has a surprise suggestion.
