Swans to Carv out a path to safety
CARLOS CARVALHAL insists Swansea do not need a miracle to beat the drop – but admits no one gives them a chance.
He was the surprise appointment, just four
days after he lost his job at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Swans went for the Portuguese to help them get back to the “Swansea way” and they will have a manager with experience of the Championship – if the worst happens and they do go down.
Carvalhal, 52, said: “Maybe if you ask 100 people who follow football, they will say Swansea are going to get relegated.
“Maybe some people will say we need a miracle – but we don’t need divine help.
“We need strong commitment to move things forward.
“I feel very motivated. It will be a difficult challenge. We know the position we are in at the moment, but we can do it.
“And we will need a lot of support from the fans – because they really can make the difference.”
