Met nab 900 in crackdown
POLICE made 900 arrests and seized 350 weapons in a crackdown in London.
Officers targeted knife crime – recovering 278 – and thugs using mopeds and motorbikes.
They also focused on criminals operating at winter markets.
The arrests, over two months, included 334 from stop-and-searches and 106 for possessing weapons.
Met bosses said all 32 boroughs linked up to “make the streets hostile territory for criminals”.
