Moyes has a passing interest in Shelvey

DAVID MOYES is lining up a shock move for Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.

The West Ham boss is desperate to strengthen his midfield in January and believes Shelvey’s passing and aggression could be crucial to the Hammers’ Premier League survival.

The 25-year-old former Liverpool and Swansea star (above) has already been sent off twice this season and is no longer a guaranteed starter under Rafa Benitez at St James’ Park.
