SHEFFIELD WED BURTON 0 3 BURTON’S remarkable run of away success continued to secure another priceless victory in their battle for Championsh­ip survival.

Nigel Clough’s side – who relied heavily on their home form to defy the odds last season – claimed a third successive win on the road.

And that made it a miserable start to 2018 for managerles­s Sheffield Wednesday as they slid to a fourth defeat in five games.

Tom Flanagan and Tom Naylor both scored, as they did in Burton’s last away victory at Reading, while Lloyd Dyer (above) grabbed his fifth goal of the season.

And all that after Lucas Akins missed an eighth-minute penalty.
