PRICE RISE MAY SINK CENK DEAL
EVERTON’S move for Turkey striker Cenk Tosun is in danger of collapsing. The Blues believed they had agreed a £25million sale, but were stunned when Besiktas raised their asking price at the eleventh hour. That led to a stand-off and negotiations grinding to a halt as New Year dawned, despite Tosun (left) flying to London to complete the deal. The Turkish club are believed to now want more than £27m after the price of the player they want to recruit as Tosun’s replacement went up. But Everton are ready to pull the plug on the deal if Besiktas continue to demand more money.
