AGY-RO ON CRIME SET

Agyness Deyn’s first proper role in a TV series got off to a violent start when she whacked co-star Jim Sturgess in the face for real, leaving him bruised and bloodied.

The model turned actress was so shocked she burst into tears after the painful encounter, while the pair filmed BBC1’s Hard Sun, a six-part crime drama from Luther creator Neil Cross.

They play detectives Charlie Hicks and Elaine Renko who discover the world will end in five years.

The fight scene had been going well – until she accidentally clouted him after a stuntman advised her to punch hard while telling Jim to “show your face”.

Jim says: “Everyone swarmed me saying, ‘Oh my God, are you ok?’. I’m covered in blood.”

Agy says she felt awful, adding “I was crying, holding my head in my hands.”
