Blues close in on £50m Juve star
CHELSEA are ready to push through a £50million January deal for Juventus full-back Alex Sandro.
Antonio Conte has prioritised bringing in the 26-year-old, who the Blues tried to sign last summer.
Chelsea know they face competition from Manchester United and have made their move to try and get him ahead of Jose Mourinho.
Juve are ready to do business on Sandro, despite having fought to keep him in August.
Chelsea are also keen to do a deal for a striker, and are looking at loan options this month, if they cannot get a big name.
They could also move for Everton’s Ross Barkley, but Tottenham remain favourites. If Chelsea land Sandro this month it would heighten the chances of United signing Tottenham’s Danny Rose.
Conte is also interested in Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.
