Hughes’ job is safe.. for now
STOKE have told under-pressure boss Mark Hughes it is business as usual.
The club are reluctant to make a change, even though the Potters are now in relegation danger, after taking just four points from a possible 21.
City fans chanted for Hughes to be sacked during the defeat to Newcastle on New Year’s Day, but nothing was said by the hierarchy to the management team post-match.
They are considering all options and Hughes knows his job is under threat. But he is expecting to take training as usual tomorrow, ahead of Stoke’s FA Cup tie with Coventry.
