US fatality in Afghan clash
A MEMBER of the US military died and four were wounded during fighting in Afghanistan.
Two of the injured were stable in a medical facility, the US said.
The clash was near the porous north-east border with Pakistan in Nangarhar province, where US air strikes have hit both the Taliban and Islamic State.
The US has 14,000 troops in the country.
