Queen recalls coronations

THE Queen has revealed her memories of her coronation for a new film.

BBC1 programme The Coronation tells the story of the Crown Jewels and the ancient ceremony.

Her Majesty, who views footage of June 2, 1953, says: “I’ve seen one coronation and been the recipient in the other, which is pretty remarkable.”

The ceremony followed the death of King George VI on February 6, 1952. Her father was crowned in May 12, 1937, when she was 11.
