Becker called out on racket
BANKRUPT Boris Becker sold off a tennis racket at a TV charity auction that turned out to be a fake.
Becker, 50, offered the racket from his last Wimbledon match in 1999.
But an antiques dealer paid £8,875 for an identical-looking racket and German TV bosses said: “Unfortunately [it] was not the one promised.”
A lawyer for Becker, declared bankrupt in London over an unpaid debt, said it was given by accident and the buyer now had the real one.
