Petrol prices hit a 3yr high

-

MOTORISTS are paying the highest petrol prices since 2014, figures show.

Unleaded rose to 121.11p last month while diesel hit 123.06p. In July petrol was just 114.33p a litre and diesel 115.02p.

The rises have been driven by the increased cost of crude oil, which is now at its highest since May 2015 at $66.61.

Simon Williams, of the RAC, said: “It’s hard to see pump prices getting much cheaper in early 2018.

“The good times appear to be over.”
