Girl power’s got my vote

- IANHYLAND on last night’s telly

Early days, but I think we have a pretty good idea of how the womenonly part of the latest Celebrity Big Brother is going to pan out.

It will be like Celebrity Big Brother, only without men. Then the men will arrive and it’ll turn into just another series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Which makes you wonder why C5 decided to exclude the fellas for three days in the first place.

It’s almost as if falling ratings had left them scrabbling around for a gimmick to boost numbers.

So I’m sure it made perfect sense to piggyback on the 100th anniversary of (some, not all) women getting the vote.

To hear Emma Willis talk, it certainly helped C5 pull in some huge names who wouldn’t normally dream of doing the show.

Emma was particularly amazed that Ann Widdecombe had agreed to take part. That’s Ann Widdecombe. From Celebrity Fit Club, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, Lucky Stars, Celebrity Sugar Free Farm and, of course, Strictly Come Dancing.

I can’t help thinking how hilarious it will be if one of the blokes wins.
