HOLD ON Man is dragged in LOST in a welter of white water, a man is close to death after 30ft waves from Storm Eleanor swept him and his dog into the harbour at Mullion, Cornwall.

Local Roo Jumunjy and a holiday- maker from Poole, Dorset, dashed to grab a lifebelt and hurled it to him.

Clinging on for dear life, the victim was hauled through the water and up the rocky shore – battered, exhausted but BATTERED But he is alive safe. Then, after four attempts, the rescuers saved the dog, catching it in a disused fishing net.

Onlooker Chris Hunt praised the brave duo. “Both risked their lives,” he said. RACE They get the lifebelt free
