Tot on lap of drink-driver

A DRINK-driving mother tried to reverse from an accident scene with a baby on her lap, a court heard.

A police officer grabbed Marilyn Robertson’s keys after the 35-year-old acted “in a bizarre manner”.

She was approached as a witness to a crash near her home in Perthshire.

An 11-month-old was on her lap and another child was in the car in Murthly, Perth sheriff court heard.

Robertson admitted driving at four times the limit and got 135 hours’ unpaid work.
