Two in court: Allergy death

TWO men have appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a girl who had a nut allergy reaction to eating a takeaway meal.

Mohammed Abdul Kuddus, 39, of Blackburn, Lancs, and Harun Rashid, 38, of Rossendale, also face health and safety offences.

Megan Lee, 15, of Oswaldtwistle, Lancs, died on January 1 last year after eating food from the Royal Spice Indian in Hyndburn.

The men – given bail – will appear at Burnley crown court on February 7.
