Eriksson eyes top job at Owls
SVEN GORAN ERIKSSON has applied for the Sheffield Wednesday job.
The former England boss, 69, wants to replace Carlos Carvalhal, who was sacked on Christmas Eve.
Eriksson is being considered as Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri wants a big name in place.
Chansiri is anxious to have a new man appointed before next Friday’s derby clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane – and Eriksson is available after being fired by China League One side Shenzhen last June.
