I watched Celebrity Big Brother hoping to see a flashback of George Galloway in a catsuit, when I learned this year is not about humiliating D-list desperadoes but celebrating 100 years since women got the vote. So they’ve got a model who used to be in that well-known Andrea Dworkinscripted show Made In Chelsea. They’ve got Rachel Johnson, who says she’s there to celebrate “female empowerment” when the only thing anyone in her family wants to celebrate or empower is themselves. They’ve got reality show groupie Ann Widdecombe who’s so into women’s rights she voted repeatedly against abortion. And who spent the first night on this CBB Sisterhood Special agreeing with actress Amanda Barrie that all those women raped by Harvey Weinstein should just have said “no”. If Emily Davison was still alive and watching she’d contemplate throwing herself under another horse.
