Under 30s go for pleasure, not savings

-

TWO-THIRDS of under 30s have no savings, preferring to splurge on nights out, new clothes and takeaways.

And those who do have a bit put by have less than £600, according to a poll of more than 2,000 18 to 29-year-olds.

Nine out of 10 had debt on credit cards, overdrafts or loans. And half told the website vouchercodespro. co.uk they would be in debt their whole lives.

George Charles, spokesman for the online deal company, said: “There is such a thing as being able to have a good social life and money in the bank... it’s about balance.”
