Akon guard hit doorman
SINGER Akon’s bodyguard attacked a hotel doorman who did not recognise the Smack That star.
Mamadou Ndiaye, 40, was fined £500 after being found guilty of assaulting Christopher Smith.
The 20st minder reacted “with substantial force” after Mr Smith asked to check Akon’s key at the five-star Hilton in Cardiff.
Ndiaye, of Cannes, France, told city magistrates: “I wasn’t aggressive – I didn’t punch him.”
