1934: Stockport beat Halifax 13-0 in a Division Three North game.
2003: England completed a 225-run win over Australia in the final Ashes Test at Sydney, losing the series 4-1.
2008: The ICC gave India’s Harbhajan Singh a three-Test ban for racially abusing Australia’s Andrew Symonds. The ban was revoked on appeal and the offenced own graded to using abusive language.
2015: FIFA vice-president Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan announced he was to stand for the presidency.
