TIGERS HAVE TO EARN STRIPES
Leicester v London Irish KO 3pm
LEICESTER boss Matt O’Connor is urging his flops to show their true colours against London Irish after six defeats on the spin.
Manu Tuilagi (above, right) makes his 100th appearance for Tigers, who are on their worst run since 1965, against London Irish in midfield.
And O’Connor (above, left) said: “It’s frustrating that we‘ve done an enormous amount of positive things in games we have lost. We have to produce a performance that does justice to the talent we have.”
Irish, who have not won since the first day of the season, pick the same side who lost to Newcastle last week.
Northampton v Gloucester KO 3pm
Stand-in Saints boss Alan Gaffney has had a clear-the-air session with his struggling squad.
Northampton were hammered 50-21 by Harlequins last Saturday and Gaffney said: “We addressed the players about a number of issues and no punches were pulled.”
Sale v Harlequins KO 3pm
Sale chief Steve Diamond reckons a win over Quins would cap a successful festive period.
He said: “If we can record another win this weekend we will have got a really good return from the three games.”
