I refuse to rant about the New Year’s Honours List. My rage is spent. I can only turn it into laughter by viewing the antiquated farce in terms of irony. Especially now that Nick Clegg has been knighted. That’s right, a man who did more to alienate schoolkids from politics with his false pledge on tuition fees, now has to be called “Sir”.
