A message to Mirror readers...

YOU will have noticed that the price of the Daily Mirror on a Saturday has increased by 10p today.

I know that I speak for the whole Daily Mirror team when I say that nobody here is ever happy to increase our price.

We are all extremely grateful to our army of readers and can assure you that these decisions are never taken lightly.

The newspaper industry is unquestionably under more pressure now than at any time in its history.

So, if we are going to continue to hold those in authority to account and produce award-winning newspapers, we have to invest in our operation and price increases are an integral part of this process.
