Strictly Alexandra: I said yes to marriage
STRICTLY finalist Alexandra Burke has revealed that her fella proposed to her two days after the show ended – and she said yes.
Josh Ginnelly popped the question in Paris and they kept it secret.
But Alex, 29, yesterday posted a snap of them kissing in the French capital as she holds up a hand with “I said yes!” written on it and an engagement ring. She wrote: “18-12-17 I said YES! Smiling as I type this as it was the best day ever in Paris. We decided to keep this between us for a while to enjoy this special moment.” Singer Alex, who danced with Gorka Marquez in the BBC contest, also revealed Josh had discussed his plans with her mum, Melissa Bell, before she lost her battle with kidney disease in August aged 53, just before the series started.
She said: “There was only one person I wanted to call when it happened. I know she is smiling and very happy for us both – because little did I know, she knew about it.”
