Ekambi can be a star for Seagulls

BRIGHTON are battling arch-rivals Crystal Palace and West Brom for £12million-rated Cameroon striker Karl Toko Ekambi.

Seagulls boss Chris Hughton is keen to tie up a deal for 25-year-old Ekambi (above), who plays for French side Angers.

The Parisian, a long-term target for both the Baggies and Palace, has scored nine goals in 18 games this season.

Brighton’s Glasgow-born winger Jamie Murphy, 28, has joined Rangers on loan with a view to a permanent £1m deal.
