Is a latte levy a good idea?

YES 28% NO 72% No. Ban the cups and ban the use of singleuse plastics. Taxing them doesn’t make them recyclable. STEVE SHAUGHNESS­Y No. Instead of a tax, make the manufactur­ers change the way they are made. Tax just goes into government coffers. THOMAS WIBLIN No. Why is the answer to everything always to charge more? If these things are damaging to the environmen­t, ban them. They will soon find safe alternativ­es. IMAEUROPEA­N Yes. It’s about time something like this was introduced to cut the waste for good. DAVE WOODS Yes. Personally I think a 25p ‘latte levy’ is a good idea as long as it’s helping the environmen­t.
