‘Betrayal’ on steel rescue

STEEL campaigners last night claimed the Tories are “betraying” the ailing industry with plans to scrap trade defences against Chinese dumping.

Union members wrote to the Chancellor as MPs prepare for the second reading of the The Taxation (Cross-Border Trade) Bill in the Commons today.

Labour MP Stephen Kinnock said it was “a kick in the teeth” for workers.
