Young ‘final warning’ on vulgar quips
THERESA May has put writer Toby Young on a “final warning” over his sick joke of being aroused by starving African children.
The Prime Minister backed Young’s appointment to the board of the new Office for Students.
But she admitted she was “not at all impressed” by his lewd Twitter posts.
In one he replied offensively to a woman who told of getting through boxes of Kleenex as she cried over footage of deprived kids.
Mrs May told the BBC’s Andrew Marr the dad-offour had been “exceedingly good” for free schools.
But she added: “If he was to continue to talk in that way he would no longer be in public office.”
