Jacko fan hit out in fury at ‘mimed’ gig
A MICHAEL Jackson fan assaulted a security guard at the Thriller Live musical after complaining that the performers were miming, a court heard.
Brett Smith, 42, demanded a refund just two songs into the West End show in London.
Smith told Westminster magistrates: “I wasn’t too impressed. The greatest singer and dancer of our time, and you get records put on of Michael Jackson. I felt let down.”
He tried to get a refund, but a scuffle broke out and he assaulted a guard by shoving him in the chest.
Smith, of Stoke-onTrent, Staffs, was convicted of one count of assault by beating, but acquitted of a further two.
He was given a conditional discharge.
