Ace eludes king Dustin
DUSTIN JOHNSON won the first event of the PGA Tour year after nearly acing a 433-yard hole.
The world No.1 romped to an eight-shot victory at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.
And the highlight of his closing 65 was a booming drive at the par-four 12th hole at Kapalua, which finished inches short of the hole for a tap-in eagle.
“I knew right off the tee I got a good line there,” said the American. “If I can play like that every week, I’m going to win a lot of times.”
Spaniard Jon Rahm finished second to move up to No.3 in the world.
