Calamity May in shuffle shambles

-

I CAN’T remember a time when there was such an incompetent reshuffle from a Prime Minister. Jeremy Hunt must have a record of being the worst minister to ever run our NHS, and yet May was so weak she couldn’t move him.

She didn’t look at moving Boris or David Davis even though their performance in the Brexit negotiations has been anything but glorious.

Yet this is probably due to the complete lack of talent she has available to her.

Can we please have a General Election and get rid of these useless Tories? Terry Marriott, Hampshire

# Who is in charge here? The Tories are supervised by the most ineffectual and weak Prime Minister on record, who is only in office because her party cannot find anyone better to replace her. No matter how much bluster and rhetoric we are bombarded within the future weeks, the facts are clear those currently in office are incapable of getting us out of the mess created by David Cameron. Noel Beresford, Derbyshire

# So much for May’s authority. Hunt refused to move and Justine Greening refused to take her new post. May wanted to move Hunt but he made such a fuss she added Social Care to a job at which he has been a disaster. What is this poor excuse for a PM playing at by giving him more responsibility? What little we have left of social care, he will totally destroy. Pat Shaw, Barnsley

# What a complete shambles this cabinet shuffle turned out to be. Theresa May has no authority, no support from anyone and no clue on how to govern.

She has ministers telling her what job they will do, politicians telling us to sit on chairs instead of having a bed in hospital.

And all the while she just buries her head in the sand and says there is ‘no crisis’ in the NHS.

May and her MPs have got to go. We need an election now. Mary Pester, Cornwall

# Calamity May has totally reinforced her place in history as the most incompetent, spineless PM ever by keeping the toxic Jeremy Hunt in charge of the NHS. Adding social care to his mandate will only ensure this. The NHS will be destroyed and replaced with extortionate private care.

The Tories should go down in history as the party who removed the great from Great Britain. M Armstrong, Co Durham

# This Government is a total shambles, hanging on by the slimmest of majorities, with Cabinet ministers resigning/getting fired every few weeks. Oh, and the ‘amazing deal’ May got for the first stage of Brexit is little more than a list of concessions to the EU. What an absolute joke. Kaylee Brown via Facebook

# I’m puzzled. Who is actually in charge of the Cabinet – Theresa May or Jeremy Hunt who refused to change jobs? Is he afraid to show his deficiencies in yet another job? Why doesn’t the Prime Minister just ‘rest’ him for a while? Unless, of course, as under David Cameron, he’s got something on them both that keeps him in the Cabinet. Geoff Willmetts Somerset
