Pump prices may leap 2p
PETROL prices are set to rise by 2p a litre after oil hit a three-year high.
For the first time since December 2014, oil topped $70 a barrel yesterday.
Prices could leap to an average 123.27p a litre for unleaded and 125.97p for diesel over the next couple of weeks, the RAC said.
In the past two months, prices have already risen by almost 5p a litre.
RAC fuel spokesman Simon Williams said: “If oil stays at this level, hikes will be almost inevitable.”
