Brian Scully, Wigan, Gtr Manchester I was saddened to read that Nico, the silverback gorilla at Longleat, has passed away aged 56. What a handsome, gentle giant he was.

I remember when we went to visit the park and saw him for the first time on his island in the middle of the lake. He was magnificent.
