Cuts aid rich tax dodgers

THE taxman is being prevented from investigating millionaire tax dodgers because of Tory cuts, MPs have warned.

The Public Accounts Committee said it was “far from confident” HMRC can handle the 11.5 million leaked Panama Papers.

Labour’s Peter Dowd said “deep Tory cuts” to HMRC “risk undermining its efforts to tackle tax avoidance and evasion”.
