Dying man’s fight goes on

A MAN dying from motor neurone disease will carry on his court battle for the right to a “peaceful and dignified” death.

Noel Conway, 68, wants the Suicide Act 1961 to be ruled incompatible with the European Convention on Human Rights, but lost his case in the High Court in October.

His appeal will be heard on January 18, although his lawyers said he was now too ill to attend.
