FITNESS guru Joe Wicks earned £15,000 a day last year – proving slimming people’s waistlines can expand your worth by millions.
Accounts reveal The Body Coach Nutrition Limited and Joe Wicks Limited made £5.5million last year.
Accounts for Body Coach, signed off last month, show it made £3.62million profit in the year ended March 31, 2017.
While Joe Wicks Limited reported £1.9million in earnings up to January 31 last year, accounts filed at Companies House show. Body Coach paid a £2.7million dividend split between Joe and his business partner. Wicks, 31, a fitness coach and cook, has amassed a fortune thanks to books, videos and TV shows. His first published cookbook, Lean in 15: 15-minute meals, was a 2015 bestseller, having sold more than 900,000 copies. He has written several books, had his own Channel 4 series, and sells a “90-day plan” online for £97. On his website Joe says: “I’m a man on a mission to rescue people from the awful dieting industry.”
He has come a long way since he borrowed £2,000 from his parents to start up his own business at 24.
He previously recalled: “I didn’t make a single penny for a year.”
His luck changed when he uploaded videos as “The Body Coach”. Now he has two million followers on Instagram.
