DAN’S GOT WASPS ATTACK BUZZING

- BY ALEX SPINK

CHRISTIAN WADE has hailed Danny Cipriani’s influence in turning Wasps’ attack from good to great. Wasps go to Harlequins today needing victory to keep their Champions Cup hopes alive. They do so with Cipriani (left) in the No.10 shirt destined next season for newly-signed All Blacks star Lima Sopoaga. Cipriani’s future may be unclear – his contract is up at the end of the season – but what is not is that the 30-year-old is playing as well as any fly-half in the land. Winger Wade said: “Since Cips has come back he has turned our attack from really good to exceptional.

“He’s pulling the strings. You saw when he was injured how our attack struggled to ignite. There’s no doubt he would be a big loss.”

Wasps must win at Quins and then beat Ulster at home next week to stay in the hunt for a quarter-final place.
