DAVID MOYES has called for the Premier League to turn transfer deadline day into an Italian-style free-for-all.

denies that and wishes the window were shorter and more like the system in place in Italy. “I don’t think we need a month, I think we should probably take it down to a week and then we wouldn’t have all the problems,” he said. “A week where the work has to get done and if it doesn’t then you don’t do it. “It can be unsettling for players. “In Italy all the clubs come to the same hotel for one day, all the chief execs and all the people, and they do the transfer business in the one day.

“You have to get it done by midnight to rubber-stamp the deals – agents, everybody, is there. Maybe it would be better if we had a day like that here in England.”

The Hammers travel to Huddersfield today with his four strikers having weighed in with just 11 Premier League goals between them this season.

But Moyes insisted: “I don’t want any of them to go.

“It would need to take an awful lot of money in this window to prise any of them away.”

West Ham have issued an indefinite ban to a fan who was confronted by West Brom’s Jake Livermore after reportedly commenting about the death of his infant son.

The Hammers said the man “violated a number of ground regulations” during their 2-1 win over Albion on January 2.
