Pep is all set to let Jose nab Sanchez
MANCHESTER CITY are ready to end their chase for Alexis Sanchez – as Jose Mourinho refused to rule out the “phenomenal” star joining Manchester United.
Mourinho has tried to hijack City’s move for the striker (right) by meeting Arsenal’s £35million asking price and agreeing to
meet the financial demands of the player and his agent.
City are unwilling to pay more than £20m for Sanchez, 29, as he is a free agent in six months.
And they will also refuse to pay a £5m fee demanded by his agent Fernando Felicevich.
City boss Pep Guardiola (right) will walk away from any deal unless Arsenal and the player’s representative lower their financial demands.
United chief Mourinho said: “Sanchez is an Arsenal player, so it’s not correct to say things about him. The only word I can say is he’s a phenomenal player. I shouldn’t say much more.”
