Eddie: I felt so weird as a caveman
EDDIE Redmayne has told how being a caveman gave him “weird body issues”.
The Oscar-winning star voices hero Dug in Early Man, a prehistoric tale from animators Aardman.
The film also features Maisie Williams and Redmayne said: “Maisie and I got dressed up as cave people with huge spears and started fighting it out. That’s how I got into character. I was up for it.”
Redmayne, 36, added of his vocal role: “It’s weirdly a lot more freeing, because you don’t have the scrutiny of cameras and costumes.
“So I kept finding myself with weird body issues that came about from getting too physically into it. I wasn’t restrained by the sound booth.”
Early Man premiered in London yesterday.
