NHS killed by Scrooge

FUNDING not flu is sickening the NHS and today’s letter by the heads of a dozen trade unions representing health workers at the sharp end is a genuine plea for help.

The life is being squeezed out of the service by a Scrooge-like Conservative Government quite simply failing to inject sufficient money to enable it to survive let alone thrive.

If Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt cared as much for the NHS as he does inventing excuses for his own failures it would be on the road to recovery rather than to the mortuary.

NHS staff daily perform miracles yet we urgently need more of those staff and the tools for them to do their jobs, whether these be hospital beds, ambulances or more GPs.

The trade union leaders speak for the NHS. Hapless Hunt speaks only for himself.
