Cam can just do 101 says Paxman
JEREMY Paxman wants to get shot of David Cameron by dumping him in Room 101.
The former Newsnight host, 67, blasts the ex-Prime Minister when he appears on the show this week.
Paxman tells host Frank Skinner: “I think David Cameron was the worst PM we’ve had for a very, very long time, several generations. “Certainly since Attlee, possibly worse than Neville Chamberlain. “Probably since Lord North, who lost the American colonies.”
Tory supporter Paxman criticised the way Cameron handled the 2016 Brexit vote and his resignation after the Leave campaign won. He explains: “He put the interests of his party before the interests of the country.
“He decided to have this referendum, believed one thing was the only outcome, didn’t campaign for it, didn’t get it and then buggered off.
“It doesn’t seem like leadership to me.”

Paxman, who stepped down from BBC Newsnight in 2014 after presenting it for 25 years, frequently interviewed Cameron.
Asked if he was any different off air than on camera, he reveals: “No. He’s a smoothie chops.”
Frank jokes in reply: “We never got this kind of analysis on Newsnight.” Paxman, who appears on the BBC1 show with actress Sally Phillips and comedian Alex Brooker, also voted to put dog jackets in Room 101.
The animal lover, who rescued his dog, Derek, from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, says: “They are completely ridiculous and founded on the idea a dog needs a jacket because they have no external covering, which is just absurd.
“I don’t understand why they do it. They make their dog look ridiculous.
“They must get into such a filthy state. I don’t see the point of them.”
